Kuumalampi Park
Turn to Luusuantie in the centre of Kemijärvi and then to Kuumaniemenkatu. Kuumaniemenkatu changes into Esaiaksenkatu and leads to the shore of Kuumalampi. The park area can also be easily found by following the guides in the guest harbour. The Kuumalampi walkways are excellent for the entire family’s outdoor activities, enjoying the scenery and observing birds.
You can see the most common waterbirds in the beautiful surroundings of the Kuumalampi pond, such as the mallard, whooper swans and various species of gulls, such as the black-headed gull and little gull. The walking route is suitable also for families with children and persons with limited mobility, as the site is located close to the services of the centre of Kemijärvi and the roads are in good condition.
