Historic military sites in Eastern Lapland
Historic military sites in Eastern Lapland is a geographical information service maintained by the Federation of Municipalities in Eastern Lapland. Its purpose is to provide a source of information for tourists and everyone who takes an interest in military history.There are many historic military sites from the Finnish Civil War, Winter War, interim peace period and Continuation War situated along the main roads connecting the municipalities of Eastern Lapland. The tour route also contains other sights, tourist attractions and services. Independent tourists can begin the military history tour anywhere along the route and visit the sites on the map. The total length of the tour is around 240 kilometres.
